For most of my career, I’ve been on the other side of the interview table.

I’ve recruited, interviewed, and hired professionals across healthcare, technology, skilled trades, manufacturing, and executive leadership. Over the years I’ve reviewed thousands of resumes, conducted countless interviews, negotiated offers, and worked directly with hiring managers to understand what actually influences hiring decisions.

I have worked as an executive recruiter and headhunter, owned a search firm, and held leadership roles including Director of Talent Acquisition and VP of Talent Acquisition in HR. That experience shapes how I talk about interviews, job searches, and offers.

That experience led me to create The Job Interview Experience in 2020, which later became MoveUp Careers and is now The Hired Podcast. While the name has evolved, the mission has remained the same: helping people build better careers through practical, honest advice from people who actually make hiring decisions.

I started the podcast because I saw a problem. There is no shortage of career advice online, but much of it comes from people who have never been responsible for hiring. I wanted to share practical insights from recruiters, hiring managers, career experts, psychologists, and business leaders who understand what it really takes to get hired and grow your career.

Today, Hired goes beyond interviews. Each episode is designed to help you navigate your career with confidence, whether you’re searching for your next opportunity, negotiating an offer, earning a promotion, changing industries, or becoming a stronger professional.
